Your new role
My client are looking for an individual to join a small, dynamic logistics team based in Rochester. You will work with your colleagues to manage the Global inventory of rental assets and make transport plans to move them between our Global Network stations using our partner airlines and forwarders. Experience in international supply chain, customs processes, multi-model transport planning (air/sea/road) and good administration are prerequisite. We are looking for candidates who have the potential to grow with our rapidly expanding business and for people with that rare blend of creative thinking and attention to detail.
Execute a Daily transport plan to Network balance our assets around the world. Administer each transport booking from request to invoice payment. Support customer service with advice and lead-time planning to fulfil customer orders. Liaise with the Global Network Stations to confirm available inventory. Identify potential inventory shortages and solutions to back-fill. Create, check and approve customer supporting paperwork for customs clearance via our partner network.
What you'll need to succeed
You ideally come from a Transport/Freight Forwarding background with a can-do attitude and looking to work in a dynamic environment with a friendly and highly motivated team. Attention to detail is critical and you will need to be able to shoulder responsibility as a key member of a small international team. Good Excel and computer literacy skills are key. Ideal candidate can be flexible in working hours and will be keen to develop a wide range of skills and experience in a high service logistics sector.
