Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the stock integrity with a focus on reducing shrinkage. Stock counts include working with other teams to develop and ensure a comprehensive counting program, generating and uploading stock files in full detail, and analysing the results, trends, issues and opportunities. You will work with finance to develop and implement policies for stock valuation as well as focus to reduce stock loss, informing buyers and retail teams of your analysis. You will help prepare a store stock-count training book containing relevant procedures and information to carry out a successful count. You will work with loss prevention and retail operations to develop capability and compliance to track and manage stock at a store level. You will analyse large volumes of stock, as well as help to implement the new SAP ERP computer system and auto ordering system.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have strong verbal, writing, analytical, and organisational skills, be able to work independently and make crucial decisions, be capable with computer software, especially spreadsheets and databases, have previous experience as a System Stock Analyst Controller, or similar role, gained within a FMCG environment, experience of working within an environment with an SAP system, advanced user of Excel, with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data, a quick learner of IT systems, strong analytical and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail, be naturally inquisitive and not afraid to challenge the status quo, strong organisation skills, with the ability to work effectively on own initiative and when under pressure, and you must be calm and patient with a can-do attitude.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary £28,000-£35,000 Monday-Friday 8:30-17:00
