Your new role
This is a brand new role created by the procurement department to mentor and monitor a team of 6 buyers of different levels.
The successful candidate will be able to allocate client purchase orders and tenders to the right member of the team and step in to help when possible. The company take on a wide range of direct spending projects across a wide spectrum of different categories including I.T, FM, Commodities and Professional Services.
A key element to the role is the organisation of KPI reports and translating the performance of the buyers into a report. The business is looking to become more efficient in sharing spend and clients between the team. The Team Leader will have a free license to determine how to best implement strategy and will look to make a difference to the department from a reactive department to a proactive one
What you'll need to succeed
- Good range of purchasing experience
- Excellent people management skills
- Great communicator
- Data analysis / report coordinating
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Exceptional Organiser
- OJEU knowledge desirable
- CIPS desirable
- Team player
