Customs Manager for globally recognised brand, based near Basingstoke, £50-60k plus car and benefits.

Your new role
In this newly created position you will ensure the UK business' Customs activities are performed in accordance with all relevant rules and regulations. You will stay on top of developments relating to Customs, and advise the business accordingly, ensuring business and legal obligations are met via the ongoing development of a Customs Control Program. You will collaborate effectively with other departments including Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance. You will maintain Customs licences, ensuring they are relevant and up to date. You will audit and monitor third party customs operations, and remedy any issues found.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be expert in Customs operations, have experience within a multinational company (ideally), and have good relationships with HMRC. You will have detailed technical knowledge regarding Customs issues and be accustomed to representing your organisation on these matters. You will have 2 direct reports in this role, so any experience of leading a small team is useful, as is prior experience with SAP and Project Management.
