Supply Chain Planner
To work as part of the Purchasing and Planning team coordinating the logistics and purchasing of subcontract operations, expediting orders from our global supply base to ensure that quality products are delivered on time to our busy production floor. The role is focused on meeting and exceeding our customer's delivery requirements.
A global manufacturer who operate in over 16 countries employing over 3000 employees.
In this role you will be working for one of the most innovative, progressive Supply Chain Managers in the West country who has a proven track record in developing/mentoring teams.
Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure we meet, or exceed, our customers' delivery requirements
To continuously work towards 100% customer on time delivery performance
Coordinating and executing external subcontract processing requirements to meet customer delivery commitments
Liaising with internal stakeholders on make/buy decisions
Review capacity for critical work centres and resolves capacity issues with Customer Service and Production
Evaluate performance of suppliers constantly seeking improvement, working with other members of the purchasing team to identify poor performing suppliers and implementation of improvement plans
Forward thinking order book assessment to identify delivery and quality issues ahead of time
Liaising with technical staff to resolve quality issues
- Background in manufacturing
Good communication skills - verbal & written
Good time management
Excellent organisational and project management skills
A 'can do' attitude and the ability to work as part of a team are vital to this role
- Strong excel skills would be advantaegeous
Salary range is £23,000 to £26,000 also with a bonus up to 10% and Private Healthcare.
