A leading financial institute, whose goal is to become an expert leader in the global financial markets has an exciting opening for an Interim Procurement Category Manager for the IT Software category. The company has a global presence, is a FTSE 100 organisation, located in the heart of the city and therefore would add real value to your CV and experience.
Your new role
As Interim Procurement Category Manager - Technology (Software), your overall purpose of the role is to create a "best in class" category procurement service that will add value add to the organisation in all areas including price, quality, contract negotiation and risk mitigation. You will work as part of the wider Procurement team and be required to support the overall procurement strategy and transformation roadmap.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need be educated to degree level or equivalent and preferable be part of the Chartered Institutes of Purchasing and Supply certification. Ideally you will have significant IT / Software experience preferably within a regulated service industry. You must be able to demonstrate analytical, problem solving, project management and decision making skills. Extensive knowledge of various types of pricing structure as well as contract negotiation skills.
