New Sourcing/Purchasing Specialist role in Tyrone, up to £40,000
Your new company
You will be joining a globally leading Manufacturing firm with headquarters in Tyrone, who specialise in the design, quality, production and distribution of their unique products to customers across the UK, Ireland, EU and the US. Due to continued success and predicted increase in turnover over the next few years, they are making strategic changes to their Purchasing strategy and seeking a new Sourcing Specialist for a full time permanent role.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for analysing material spend to optimise buying power, identify savings and drive cost effectiveness throughout the Supply Chain within a set category of goods and services. The Sourcing Specialist will maintain professional relationships with existing suppliers, lead global outsourcing activities, evaluate new supply, negotiate contracts/pricing and monitor ongoing supplier performance. Also, you will be responsible for commercial decision making, contract management and support compliance standards to minimise risk and cost exposure.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working within a high volume Manufacturing/Engineering firm and understanding of strategic procurement techniques including tendering, sourcing, supplier management and negotiation will lead to success. Along with this, a proven track record of leading sourcing activities, implementing cost saving projects and building effective relationships on a global scale. Also, membership of CIPS or working towards is not essential but highly advantageous.
