It is a very exciting time to join Jaguar Land Rover. This is why we are looking for you to join our team. We are at the forefront of the industry when it comes to new technologies, manufacturing techniques and engineering. The opportunity within the business is only limited by your desire to succeed. Career progression is encouraged and so is the opportunity to travel with your work if required
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll have accountability for all post-sourcing or contracting management activities for your designated commodities. You'll ensure that jobs per hour, sequencing, warehousing, inventory and delivery requirements for manufacturing are met, part of which will involve supporting the Global Commodity Managers and Strategic Buyers in the development and execution of commodity, plant, and just-in-time strategies across your designated suppliers. In this pivotal role, you'll interface with key functions across Jaguar Land Rover and acts as a core conduit for true cross-functional working with Production Purchasing, Finance, Material Planning and Logistics, Supplier Technical Assistance, Product Engineering, Cost Engineering and Manufacturing.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you'll have previous experience or a very good knowledge of Purchasing or Supply Chain Processes. You may have come from a similar background within a commercial environment and now really want to get into a new challenge within a strong manufacturing business. You'll have experience of delivering complex supply chain solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Due to the amount of cross-functional work that will be required, stakeholder management skills will be essential, as will the ability to influence people from across the business and externally. Knowledge or experience within a manufacturing environment would be desirable, but it is not essential. A driving licence is required for this role. Some travel will be expected to support Jaguar Land Rover's global growth.
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
