The Production Planning and Control Manager will join the Supply Chain team at the companies UK manufacturing site in Kent and will be responsible for overseeing the planning and demand management of production units.

Our client are world-class manufacturers and suppliers of automotive aftercare products. Growing rapidly and constantly increasing their market share, they are now seeking a Production Planning and Control Manager to join their team in Kent.

Description

The Production Planning and Control Manager will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing supply chains that support business strategies
  • Developing processes to better coordinate and align the supply chain with other internal functions
  • Managing activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material planning, inventory control and warehousing
  • Establishing KPI for the Supply Planning and Stock Control team and accountable for delivery and achievement
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Planners to forecast demand, create supply plans and ensure order availability
  • New product launches and discontinuations taking into consideration launch time and scrapping cost impacts
  • Monitoring supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met
  • Analysis of cost (COGS) and expenses and reporting on findings

Profile

The successful Production Planning and Control Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • Exposure within an operations environment
  • Lean manufacturing and SAP experience
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve with the capability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to produce and present accurate reports and procedures
  • People management and supervisory skills
  • A University degree
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply
