First Line Manager
My client is a large well established business looking for experienced first line managers to join their warehouse management team. You will come from a strong warehouse management background and be driven with the motivation to progress.
The First Line Manager will report directly to the Operations senior management team and will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards are achieved and customer expectations are fulfilled through the output of the operational teams. You will take ownership of your work and be accountable to develop both your area and your team. You will lead the teams ensuring that stock is received, stored, packed and dispatched to the highest of standards dealing with any issues in the first instance and escalating only when absolutely necessary. You will communicate on daily/weekly performance issues and identify as well as recommend any training required, before personally coaching and developing your team to improve performance. The ideal candidate will be fully focused on employee engagement and will be comfortable influencing change within the warehouse and the associated teams.
Successful running of all warehouse operations/departments
Ensuring that the teams operate in a safe, efficient, and effective manner to support the achievement of relevant warehouse costs and KPI targets.
Motivating and leading the teams to support best possible service levels.
Coaching and mentoring the teams including 1-2-1's, investigations and disciplinary, H&S, performance and absence management.
Ensuring all customer requirements are met and escalation of any issues that put service levels at risk.
Be an effective leader by inspiring others/use effective communication.
Be proactive in your approach ensuring that all tasks are completed.
Have a good understanding of current HR legislation and practices.
Out of Hours Weekend Service Rotational
Leadership - Must be confident and capable to take the lead across the operation.
Motivate - Able to motivate, coach and guide people to support the overall operation.
Health & Safety - Able to manage the site within the required regulatory H&S standards and make sure colleagues are working safety in line with ISO accreditation
IT Skills - Appropriate skills within Microsoft Office, to be able to pick up, learn and use our WMS , and other warehouse supporting functions.
Organisational - Must be able to demonstrate skills in managing teams from resource planning to final delivery of relevant services.
Task Management - Must be able to prioritise tasks and organise teams to ensure KPI's are met whilst maintaining/reducing costs
HR - Have a solid understanding of HR practices and legislation.
A salary of £30,000 + benefits and a out of hours allowance
