This role primarily exists to support the development of a demand forecast as part of the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP)

The role holder is responsible for identifying short/mid-term market trends (3 - 18 month's)

Communicating the perceived impact on sales demand over the S&OP time horizon to allow the Sales organisation to develop improved forecast accuracy levels

A leading, global manufacturer of building products supplied in to the Private and Public sectors.

Description

  • Coordinate the consolidation of the Demand Forecast from the Sales Organisation as part of the S&OP process in the business at product family level on a monthly basis

  • Recognise, follow and analyse market trends and combine this with customer based market intelligence to develop and communicate perceived future market trend changes on a monthly basis to support the Demand Forecast

  • Monitor forecast accuracy and develop improvement actions where this is below target levels

  • Develop, Implement and Support the necessary tools for the Demand Forecast to ensure the process is at its most efficient for the Sales organisation

  • Support the business Forecast, Budget and Business Plan processes by providing the necessary demand information in a timely manner

  • Support the Sales organisation with necessary training around the forecasting process

Profile

Essential:

  • SAP/APO and SAP/BW
  • Degree or Masters educated
  • Demand and Production Planning background
  • High level of numerical and analytical understanding
  • Excellent collaboration skills

Job Offer

This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract which may go permanent for the right candidate.

Salary range is from £35,000 to £45,000 with a retention bonus at the end of the contract.
