Our client requires an experienced CPC qualified Transport Planner to join their operation during an exciting period of growth. In summary you will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and planning routes and ensuring route optimisation and effective use of all company vehicles
  • Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures at all time

Leading manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire requires a CPC Qualified Transport Planner to join their operation based in West Yorkshire.

Description

Key Duties:

  • To answer queries and enquiries from both external customers and internal communications
  • To ensure the transport department support the business objectives of delivering a quality product on time every time
  • To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • To strengthen client relationships and ensure the successful continuance of business operations
  • To communicate with customers about issues or queries and support the resolution of such
  • To communicate essential department requirements and objectives to reporting team
  • To be responsible for the overall planning of the Transport Operation
  • To oversee Transport Operations by being readily available to provide support and assistance where necessary and/or instructed
  • To work to improve the working environment and business processes of Transport Operations
  • Profile

    To be considered you must be able to demonstrate:

    • Previous experience of working as a Transport Planner with the CPC qualification
    • Good knowledge of the UK road network
    • Good knowledge of the Road eye system
    • The ability and knowledge to run the company operator's license
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent organisational and planning skills
    • Focus on the delivery of a quality service
    • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and direct the staff team
    • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with experience of analytical work would be an advantage
    • The ability to either work on own initiative, supervising the team and supporting prioritisation of task
    • The ability to demonstrate effective time management, prioritise own tasks and manage own workload
    • To ensure all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner with proven experience of adhering to deadlines

    Job Offer

    The successful candidate will be offered a salary of up tp £30,000 experience dependent.
