My client is an established distributor who is looking for an ambitious stock coordinator to join their team, you will come from a strong stock control within a warehousing background.

The Stock Controller will also be required to work with the operational team to drive continual improvements through the processes with accurate and efficient stock reporting for the operational management team and the clients

The role is a pressurised role within the facility, and requires clear direction as an individual and monitoring of the results in order to feed into the business to ensure earlier resolution of the issues.

  • Managing the stock team deliverables with help of the Stock Manager

  • Managing the priorities including Stock Takes / PI and investigations

  • Implementing change where required to support the KPI

  • Controlling the stock loss / gain position reporting

  • Supporting and ensuring an auditable business processes are adopted Working with the other teams to drive the business forward

Profile

Good overall manager with inter-personnel skills for building excellent relationship, with drive, motivation and self-awareness of Best Practice in stock control

Excellent communication skills both written & oral

Quality stock control experience within stock control

Sage WMS experience would be an advantage

Excellent IT skills with ability to interrogate data and work on Excel

Process knowledge and understanding. - Must be tenacious and dedicated to achieving performance targets on a daily bases

Practical and proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to operate under pressure in a fast moving environment

Proven planning skills coupled with the ability to adapt to changes in requirements with minimal notice

Practical understanding of stock management techniques and how to apply them into practice, especially full stock takes and best practice benchmarking

Practical understanding of warehouse processes and practices

Excellent team management skills & training skills

Stock management experience essential with proven PI and full stock take skills

Numerate

Good presentation skills

Job Offer

A salary between £19000 and £21000 dependant on experience.
