Category Manager opportunity for an established and highly successful and leading Financial Services PLC. You will be based in the company’s accessible and modern offices on the South Coast. The role offers great support and an environment where your hard work will be rewarded; there are opportunities for flexible/home working.

You will be responsible for sourcing activity and category management for the Professional Services and HR/Recruitment categories, so ideally you will have good HR & Professional Services Category experience. However if you are a talented Generalist with a history of creating category plans and strategies and aligning these to reduce cost and mitigate risk, we would also be keen to hear from you.

Category Manager Job Duties:

  • Category Manager responsible for sourcing activity and category management for the Professional Services and HR/Recruitment categories.
  • Operating as part of the Group function working on all elements of the sourcing cycle running tenders and leading contract negotiations as well as providing coaching and guidance to the business units.
  • Creating category plans and strategies and aligning these with pipeline to reduce cost and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborating with team members, business partners and stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the business and customers.

Category Manager Skills Required:

  • Professional Services and HR / Recruitment category expertise is essential
  • MCIPs ideal but not essential
  • Experience / use of P2P systems (Oracle I Proc) ideal but not essential.
  • Strong negotiator with good contract drafting skills
  • Competent in all aspects of the sourcing cycle - RFI / RFP / E Auction etc.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Collaborative approach
