Buyer role with fast-track development opportunities with aspirational brand. A Buyer has become available in an industry leading FMCG company based in Cambridgeshire. With an exciting future ahead, this Buyer role promises to be challenging, fast paced, and strategic. With recent continued investment in the procurement team, there are exceptional opportunities for growth and development available.
As Buyer for a defined area of spend, you will be responsible for the strategic delivery and procurement of key categories within the business for all sites and subsidiaries. Not only will you be responsible for creating an approved suppliers database, you will also design a supplier performance platform and necessary action plan to ensure all suppliers are performing to the best possible capacity and efficiency. Being able to develop key stakeholder relationships is key to the success of this position, in order to gain commitment and buy-in from all areas of the business.
To succeed in this Buyer job you must demonstrate previous procurement experience across either Direct or Indirect spend. Due to the complexity and wide-reaching element of this procurement role, you must have experience working with a wide range of stakeholders with demonstrable expertise of the end-to-end procurement cycle is key in order to gain maximum cost savings and efficiencies at every opportunity. Exceptional communication skills, a self-motivated and results focused approach to work are a pre-requisite.
