Sourcing Manager (Non IT)
The Clifford Chance Procurement department provides best in class strategic guidance and support to the firm in regards to all external supplier interactions.
The Sourcing Manager (Non IT) is responsible for leading strategic and some tactical procurement projects across the Non IT spend category globally with the aim of delivering efficiencies and cost savings for the firm. This varied role may cover categories including: Facilities and Operations, HR, Marketing & Event, Learning and Development and Professional services.
This is permanent position based within the London office reporting into the Procurement Manager (Non IT).
As a member of the wider Procurement team the Sourcing Manager (Non IT) is expected to contribute to ongoing procurement improvement reviews and may be required to pick up additional activities outside of the category scope of this role.
This role may require infrequent travel to other Clifford Chance global offices but it is expected that most work will be undertaken within the London office.
To provide support to the Procurement Manager (Non IT) across a number of Non IT Category areas.
To lead medium to strategic and key tactical Non IT Procurement sourcing project, end to end.
To deliver cost savings and performance improvements through commercial renewal, optimisation and negotiation.
To forge relationships with key stakeholders who cover categories of spend which historically have not been covered by Procurement.
To advise and support others on best practice regarding commercial aspects of supplier negotiations, supplier selection and act as an escalation point for managing and resolving disputes.
To undertake Procurement training for the wider firm/business.
To build and continually review and refine some sub Non IT Category strategy documents in partnership with key stakeholders.
To provide guidance and support to other members within the team when undertaking Non IT Procurement projects.
To negotiate commercial and contract terms with suppliers.
To act as a strategic advisor to the firm for all Non IT Procurement related areas.
To own and manage some strategic relationships with the Non IT Category.
To manage and monitor compliance and adherence to the Firms procurement policies.
Ability to negotiate contract terms and mark-up agreements.
Ability to demonstrate a consistent delivery of cost savings and value add in past roles.
Ability to analyse supplier pricing and proposals.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Strong experience of leading large, complex Non IT Procurement projects from end to end.
Experience in building and implementing category strategies across some Non IT category areas.
Experience of managing and influencing difficult stakeholders and suppliers.
Experience of working and delivering within a comparable complex global firm or organization.
Some experience of IT Procurement would be beneficial.
A good understanding of Procurement best practice, process and tools.
A strong understanding of at least one Non IT procurement categories; namely: Facilities and Operations, HR, Marketing & Event, Learning and Development and Professional services.
MCIPS or a recognised procurement qualification is desirable.
