This is a very unique opportunity in a leading and well established FMCG business. This role would be to help design, drive and implement the global sourcing strategy, whilst negotiating the best deals for the business and developing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The aim will be to support the implementation of each category sourcing plans in line with the business' broader strategy and seeking to reduce and manage supply, brand and price risk.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implement sourcing and procurement strategies across food, commodities, ingredients and packaging.. The include sugar, flour, cocoa, coffee, produce, meat and packaging.
  • Driving 'procurement best practice' across all categories.
  • Working with category managers develop, shape and implement category sourcing plans in line with the broader Food Sourcing vision.
  • Managing the risks of different markets when sourcing various products and the impact on the business.
  • Working closely with NPD and helping find the most appropriate suppliers around the world.
  • Ensuring contracts are completed for all relevant agreements and have been agreed with the relevant business owner.
  • Managing supplier performance, identifying and assessing potential new suppliers as well as building long term supplier relationships
  • Negotiating with suppliers, improving the trading position in a sustainable way

    Ideal Profile

  • Experience within FMCG, Food Services or Retail businesses
  • Experience driving change within procurement
  • Experience sourcing a range of ingredients, packaging or commodities (Sugars, Starches, Cocoa, Wheat, Flour, Glucose) or buying food from source.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong Analytics understanding
  • Articulate when speaking and writing
  • Degree Educated
  • A fun personality to work in a vibrant environment
  • Experience working in a consultancy (desired)
