Our professional procurement team already has a successful track record in delivering savings and more efficient purchasing, but we strive for continuous improvement.
As the Council moves to a more commercial approach in procuring over £100m of services, works and goods a year, you’ll be part of a team leading a better market understanding, market engagement and improved contract management.
A key part of the role is developing and managing corporate contracts and improving contract management, so you’ll need to have demonstrable experience of producing complex tender documentation and making savings through procurement and contract management.
Fully CIPS qualified, you will thrive on challenge and be a clear thinker who can prioritise well and work to agreed timescales.
Working with and advising senior officers and elected Council members, you’ll need excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
