HR Sourcing Manager opportunity in a fast-paced, blue chip and dynamic environment; currently going through significant change.

Role Purpose:
You will lead  the development and execution of commercial strategies which provide competitive advantage for the business in the market.  As the role holder will have a deep understanding of the HR Category ensuring they are the "go to" person in this category, understanding key trends in the market and proactively using these to bring innovation into the business, whilst unlocking value year-on-year from commercial arrangements.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will manage portfolios which are significant in terms of Customer and Business impact, spend, market complexity and scope.

You must have demonstrable stakeholder management ability up to Executive level with the gravitas to interact and influence at that level to deliver effective Procurement strategies across the business which are collaborative and unlock Innovation.

There is the opportunity for flexibility and home-working e.g. 2/3 days each week subject to workload.


Key Accountabilities of the HR Sourcing Manager role:

  • Design, build, execute and maintain the overall Category Strategy including a prioritised set of Procurement opportunities agreed with stakeholders and sourcing and negotiation strategies which together deliver sustainable benefits and competitive advantage
  • Build, develop and maintain key relationships
  • Manage the category area continually reviewing the efficacy, efficiency and security of current supply arrangements and customer impacts ensuring that contracts remain in force, effective and up to date with market trends, price and service competitiveness and regulatory change
  • You must have demonstrable stakeholder management ability up to Executive level with the gravitas to interact and influence at that level to deliver effective Procurement strategies across the business which are collaborative and unlock Innovation.
  • Strong experience of third-party contractual work is a must combined with the ability to lead and deliver initiatives to improve the quality and value of the components of our cost base within your assigned Category area.
  • Take leadership responsibility for providing day to day line management, coaching and developing others to ensure that performance objectives are met and team feel engaged, valued and motivated

  Experience required for the HR Sourcing Manager role:

  • Educated to a minimum of degree standard or equivalent professional qualification (CIPS desirable) or business experience equivalent
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Previous experience within a Financial Services environment
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to plan, prioritise and deliver work to timescales.
  • A high level of PC literacy across the Microsoft Office suite
  • Dynamic and self-motivated style with an ability to deliver at pace and drive change
