Are you looking for a role with global opportunities? This company, headquartered in London can offer just that. With a global presence and constituent of the FTSE 250 Index, a Procurement Manager is required to join and develop within an established procurement team.

As Procurement Manager you will support the VP Procurement to take the lead on European procurement relating to all categories. You will manage end to end procurement processes/projects including project identification, RFQ/tender initiation, contract negotiations, contract implementation and supplier service level reviews. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all direct and indirect procurement activities
  • Manage turnkey procurement projects relating to Capex and Opex spend
  • Take responsibility for developing and managing procurement policies
  • Manage vendors and maintain supplier base
  • Implement and manage supplier contracts
  • Develop procurement sourcing strategies 
  • Apply and develop financial analyses to address strategic sourcing challenges
  • Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis, monitor supplier relationship programs to ensure service levels are met and identify key performance indicators to drive business value
  • Support Procurement Team in managing transactional operational requirements
  • Identify opportunities where procurement project management needs to be implemented

Skills & Competencies

  • Extensive experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles
  • Previous experience managing spend across UK/Europe
  • Experienced and self-motivated procurement project manager, with an emphasis on the final execution of the project and the ability to successfully manage a team and multiple priorities 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of contracting services and goods, together with the ability to draft and administer contracts
  • Highly numerate with good financial acumen 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • IT and MS Office proficient (especially Excel)
  • Ability to build strong, honest relationships with colleagues, internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong team player, particularly in a changing environment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise a high workload effectively
