Based in Kent and working with a key player in the industry; the Supply Chain Coordinator will be tasked with assisting the Purchasing, Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain team with purchasing of raw materials and controlling stock levels.

Description

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be tasked with:

  • Planning and placing purchase orders for raw materials including ingredients and packaging
  • Working to meet demand forecasts for both domestic and global supply
  • Reviewing and controlling minimum and maximum stock levels
  • Managing third party warehouse providers in relation to stock transfers
  • Assisting in monthly stock takes of both raw materials and finished goods
  • Assisting in negotiations on pricing and terms from suppliers
  • Sourcing secondary suppliers for contingency
  • Purchasing new ingredients for any NPD trials
  • Building and managing relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure OTIF delivery and analyse supplier service levels
  • Coordinating shipments with the USA and liaising regularly with the USA team
  • Preparation and creation of ad hoc reports
  • Checking invoices and raising any pricing queries
  • Liaise internally with NPD, marketing, sales finance and technical

Profile

The successful Supply Chain Coordinator will be able to demonstrate:

  • A degree within a Business or related subject
  • CIPS qualification or willingness to study towards this
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exposure to Purchasing, Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment
