The opportunity has arisen for a Materials Planner/Buyer to join my FMCG client based in North Nottinghamshire.
This is genuinely an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of managing materials and suppliers to join a c. £10million turnover business which has grown in recent years; evolving and supplying quality products to the consumer.
The Materials Planner/Buyer will manage a spend of c. £4million across roughly 100 SKU's and deal with a number of suppliers globally and be required to travel on occasion. They will also have strong Excel skills.
The Materials Planner/Buyer, reporting into the Finance Director, will be responsible for all of the procurement and inventory activities relating to raw materials, packaging and a small indirect spend including:
- Vendor management
- Sourcing suppliers
- Stockholding and stock turns
- Process and system implementation
- Placing of PO's
- Maintenance of stock ordering for daily operations
This role based in North Nottinghamshire will add real value to both the company and the candidates own career. The nature of the role and the type of individual they require will have a stakeholder management orientation, strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively and drive cost efficiency's.
The candidate will have a high degree of attention to detail, show drive to meet agreed objectives and be willing to travel globally on occasion.
The successful candidate for the role will be offered c. £30,000 - £40,000 (dependant on profile and experience). They will be offered training and development within an excellent, modern and collaborative working environment.
