This job for a Buyer is with a dynamic UK-based organisation offering a fantastic opportunity for a driven and successful Buyer to join the team on a temporary basis with a view to go permanent.
Your new role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing long term procurement strategies within the Scottish business to drive and achieve cost savings. You will manage relationships and lead negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders whilst managing all existing operational contracts to ensure best value. You will analyse the data driven from the Purchase to Pay system recognising trends in the market.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Buyer you will work closely with all stakeholders in order to undertake detailed category research. You will have excellent negotiation skills and be able to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience drafting agreements and contracts, with excellent attention to detail. You will be confident in using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. You will be CIPS qualified or working towards your qualification.
