This global Financial Services firm has led the way with its innovative market strategies and forward thinking landing them a spot on the FTSE 250 index. This brand is looking to expand their procurement function, specifically looking to invest in a talented procurement professional that encompasses their overall visions to deliver the best service to their clients.

The Role

This IT Procurement Manager role sits within a small but successful procurement team tasked with the implementation and optimisation of the procurement function across this financial services brand. Whilst the function is not necessarily Greenfield and the team is capitalising upon savings opportunities, there is still a lot of strategic work that needs to be done to enhance the efficiency of the overall process. You will systematically identify and understand the complex requirements of both this category and the brand to competently recognise prospects for savings, creating a track record of cost containment within an intriguing and ever-changing environment. You will be looking to become an integral member within this driven and dynamic procurement team- covering the full end-to-end procurement process within the extensive IT category. Not only will you use your exceptional interpersonal skills to negotiate with suppliers - both old and new, you will use your excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills to effectively integrate into the wider company and highlight the importance of procurement for the success of sustainable company growth. Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior IT procurement category experience specifically working within blue-chip organisations.
  • Substantial stakeholder and supplier management capabilities with specific focus on improving procurement practises.
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering savings within a challenging and competitive environment.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and knowledge of the relevant marketplace, vendors and new technologies.
  • Outstanding academics - Upper 2:1 degree or international equivalent (CIPS desired but not essential)
