Global Category Manager- Supply Chain
We are currently recruiting for a Global Category Manager (Supply Chain) to lead the delivery of the procurement ambition across our Supply Chain category; and to be accountable for translating business objectives into commercial procurement activities to ensure there is complete alignment. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious Procurement professional to join a high calibre Category Management team, and make a significant contribution towards our aim to maximise the value we can achieve from our 3rd party spend.
This is a strategic role that concentrates on global contracts relating to Fleet, Freight, Warehousing and Distribution, which incorporates a total spend of approx. $60-75m across 60 countries; and managing critical internal relationships. Our overall Direct category expenditure is more than $200 million, and there will be opportunities to support sourcing initiatives across other categories as business needs arise; you will also get involved in the building of capacity within our national procurement teams who manage the majority of our Procurement spend.
It's a truly greenfield opportunity that requires the successful candidate to have:
- A strong background in category management at a regional or global level, or significant Procurement experience within the sector and the ability to undertake a more strategic role
- A strong desire to work in the International Development sector
- Knowledge/understanding/experience within Supply Chain categories of spend (Fleet, Freight, Distribution)
- Excellent influencing, interpersonal and analytic skills.
