 Unique; Diverse; Innovative; Varied and Critical, Contracts Manager Opportunity….this really is an exciting role in a very unique and innovative environment. You MUST have experience of NEC3 Contracts or ideally NEC4.

This is a great opportunity for a Procurement Specialist or Contract Manager to join a unique and interesting organisation who are going through a key period of transformation. We are looking for someone who has in depth experience of managing NEC3 contracts. Experience of NEC4 would be even better!
 

As Contracts Manager you will need to:

  • Have a great understanding of the structure of NEC contracts and how they are applied
  • Have previous experience of managing NEC3 contracts and understand the difference between NEC3 and 4
  • Be the “go to” person in regards to NEC4 contracts
  • Utilise NEC contracts for the preparation, analysis, negotiation, award and delivery of contracts within the Delegation of Procurement Authority
  • Manage contract performance, quality, cost, KPIs (key performance indicators) and supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintaining contract management plans and providing data to support functional governance and reporting
  • Building robust relationships with the external supply chain, monitoring contract performance and agreeing appropriate return to green actions, escalating where appropriate to maintain programme delivery
  • Supporting change and championing best practice to promote the Supply Chain function and where appropriate, participating as subject matter expert in the review of Supply Chain or other processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensuring Supply Chain processes, tools and systems are adhered to, leading by example
  • Other duties as reasonably required by line and task management

Experience of working with “CEMAR” tool would be a big plus.


Contracts Manager Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • A-Levels at Grade C or above to include Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards or equivalent qualification/experience desirable
  • Proficient with MS Office especially Excel
  • Accuracy in data analysis and attention to detail
  • Able to develop constructive working relationships and challenge inappropriate behaviour/activities
  • Numerate and able to translate and analyse a supplier’s financial data
  • Knowledge of contractual arrangements
  • Strong negotiator/influencer
  • Proactive approach, tackles issues before they become problems
  • Use of Oracle Purchasing or equivalent
  • Aptitude for working in a process led environment

SC Clearance is required so if you possess current SC clearance, that would be a bonus. Please note that you must be a British citizen
