Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Head of
A new opportunity to take ownership of the Procurement function on a local level of one of the UK's most successful construction businesses. This role will drive the direction of the department ensuing that local business priorities and the overall Procurement strategy are aligned. This role will be key in ensuring that best practice procurement is embedded and will ensure that: the purchase and scheduling of materials and hiring of plant is performed to a high standard; evaluate and manage subcontractor specification; perform end of contract reviews and sub-contractor performance reviews; provide timely market intelligence to internal stakeholders and supporting the bid programme. Managing a committed team of Buyers, a key part of the role is to ensure the team are developed and managed effectively with succession planning in place and a high performing culture embedded.
To succeed in this exciting and autonomous role, demonstrable management experience in the construction industry is required with CIPS qualification desired but not essential. With high levels of drive and credibility, you will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a pro-active and self-motivated approach to your work.
