Purchasing Manager - Packaging
Great opportunity for the right candidate to join a multinational food products business based in Redhill. The successfull candidate will be responsible for the procurement of Packaging and ingredients for the UK sites & responsible for a small team of 2 direct reports.
My client is a multinational food products business with over 200 plants operating in over 40 countries.
Contribute towards the delivery of the business vision and business plan
To develop the group purchasing plan and activities relevant to your category
To coordinate material price change and analysis to evaluate impacts to the business
Forecast all procurement needs across all areas in the UK and consolidate supply base as appropriate
Manage and analyse trends in company spending and monitor inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas of potential savings
Experience within purchasing in an FMCG environment, preferably international
Ability to analyse and evaluate data against key indicators to monitor programmes, projects and plans to set targets
Management or Supervisory experience to include training, development, appraisals, staff motivation.
Experience in budget preparations
Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and relevant trading legislation
French would be advantageous
Salary between £55,000 & £60,000 dependent on experience, plus package
