Procurement Specialist role with an award winning Local Authority

An award winning London based Local Authority, who is looking to improve their social care and public health procurement services.
Your New Role
Responsible for supporting the council's category management approach to procurement within Social care and Public health, ensuring that it procures its goods, services and works in a cost effective and efficient manner through providing commercial expertise and specialist market knowledge.
This role will involve engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in developing and implementing sourcing, procurement and contract management strategies, leading on high value complex procurement projects, providing procurement expertise throughout the commissioning framework, negotiating with and developing third party providers.
What You'll need to Succeed
Degree or equivalent, or vocational qualification in a relevant subject or area, or a relevant professional qualification (CIPS / IACCM desirable) Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate Category Management or Procurement experience within the Social Care sector. Experience running OJEU tenders.
