12 month FTC for a generalist Indirect Buyer within leading financial services organisation in London.
Your new company
Your new company is a well-established worldwide bank with a presence in over 40 countries. They are always looking to grow and develop, and pride themselves on their expertise. The Head of Procurement is hugely invested in the development of their team and due to a recent merge there is lots of collaborative procurement projects to be getting involved in.
Your new role
We have an exciting new 12 month fixed term contract available in London. In your new Procurement role as a Buyer you will be involved in the end to end procurement process with a focus on customer service across a range of categories. Your new procurement role will include but not be limited to creating and growing the procurement strategy, negotiating contracts in particular terms and conditions, running tenders and ensuring financial targets are met. You will also be dealing with suppliers, maintaining and sourcing new relationships and getting the best price and quality for the organisation. This could include the procurement of services such as IT, facilities, professional services, HR, and office supplies.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to have previous procurement experience across a range of different categories, they are not looking for a deep category specialist. You should have experience dealing with contract terms and conditions and running the operational procurement process with peers. You will also need to have strong data analysis skills with regards to cost analysis. You should be convincing in negotiations, organised and able to work to tight deadlines. Ideally, you would be CIPS qualified but this is not essential.
