Your new role
You will manage expenditure, ensuring compliance with EEC regulations and Internal Audit guidelines, analyse purchasing trends and implement competitive agreements within the purchasing framework of products/product groups not covered by the organisations core agreements. You will manage centralised MVLS stores administration operation, with a large and varied product range using dynamic methodology to ensure a constant match between stocked products and end user requirements in a constantly, and at times rapidly, changing environment. You will contribute to the enhancement and development of the Operational Strategic plan and key operational priorities. You will manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation and the formulation of operational plans to reduce capital outlay for stocked products.
In addition you will be responsible for the efficient and effective scheduling and allocation of work and the day to day management of the Storeroom staff consisting of four indoor processing colleagues, one indoor administrator and three outdoor delivery colleagues.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of managing a team with excellent interpersonal , negotiation and contract management skills. You will have experience of supplier relationship management and reviewing performance. You will be an enthusiastic manager able to ensure maximum output from the team to achieve objectives.
What you'll get in return
9 month contract with a salary of £28,098 working Monday to Friday 0830-1630. Free parking will be provided.
