A brilliant opportunity has arisen within a prestigious local government client. The role will be based within the community and children's services team for an initial 2 month contract. This role will fall inside IR35 so you may only be paid as PAYE or through an umbrella company.
Your new role
Your role will be to plan and lead the commissioning and procurement of a range of community and children's services for local needs. You will need to consult and work in partnership with residents and internal and external service providers in order to design and deliver services in line within the commissioning strategy. You will also need to develop service specifications, service standards and various indications to monitor the performance of the services being provided.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have at least 2 years procurement and commissioning experience within social care or public health in a local authority environment. You must have a good understanding of strategic commissioning and approaches to asses needs and demands for public services. You will have a proven ability to manage contractual relationships and have a good understanding of service planning, procurement models and UK and EU procurement law.
