Procurement Manager, Buyer, Category Manager
This global commercial organisation is looking to recruit an ambitious Procurement professional for their Cambridgeshire based Head Office. The procurement function is a fundamental part of the company with high levels of recognition and investment and they are looking to add to the team. You may be working in a Buyer / Category Manager or Procurement specialist capacity and looking to develop this experience further in a best practice procurement organisation. In this role, you will be working closely with Category Managers and senior stakeholders across the organisation and will have the opportunity to manage areas of spend autonomously. An important part of your role will be to negotiate supplier contracts, participate in communicating the Procurement strategy and manage the expectations of stakeholders.
With a high-performing team already in place there is scope to shape the job profile to suit candidate expertise so exact category experience is not essential. The role will suit a candidate looking to develop their experience further or an up & coming procurement professional with some initial, tangible exposure to procurement who is looking to develop a long-term career path. With experience in reviewing & negotiating, commercial terms and conditions you will have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and a demonstrable ambition to develop a long-term career path in procurement.
