Shift Operations Manager in FMCG Sector, London
A vibrant and successful food supply company are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to run their London hub. This role requires flexibility around working shifts and the passion to ensure the hub runs smoothly 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You will report to the General Manager, but ultimately lead your own team efficiently. You will enjoy people management and have a track record in customer service and operations.
Your new role:
You will be required to have experience and ambition behind the management of stock, have dedication and interest in the company's mission and ultimate goal of rejuvenating the food supply chain. Your new position will see you managing all aspects of the day to day delivery supply, including planning routes, managing van charge scheduling, damage and vehicle maintenance reporting.
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible in efficient handover at the end of your shift but always looking ahead and maintaining company standards are adhered to. You will be overseeing the ERP in-house system, reporting on delivery standards, stock quality and timing. Management of your team is another factor of this role, you will ensure rotas, holiday, disciplinary, and absences all aspects updated.
The best candidate will be capable of putting their best foot forward in resolving any possible delivery disputes within a timely and efficient manner, whilst representing and adhering the company's values and goals. You will also be capable of handling a multitude of tasks, whilst maintaining a positive and responsive image.
Previous experience managing a successful warehouse and/or transport operations. You will be comfortable dealing with difficult situations, be flexible and customer friendly to ensure satisfactory company standards. You will be a strong leader and have experience to support this.
Your ambition will preferably be within the FMCG industry or strong interest in the sector to be successful. Experience operating ERP systems, achieving KPI forecasts, contributing your ideas and making yourself a vibrant member of team is required to be considered.
