General Manager for food supply


A vibrant and successful food supply company are seeking an experienced General Manager to operate their London hub. This company has a track record in inspiring employees and developing careers and want to add to their existing team.

This role will see you lead a wide team, using your previous experience through motivating, forecasting and reporting results to ensure a structured and successful work place.

Your new role:

You will be required to have experience and ambition behind the management of stock, have dedication and interest in the company's mission and ultimate goal of rejuvenating the food supply chain. Your new position will see ownership of activity within the distribution hub, ensure smooth operation, high levels of communication and team spirit are maintained always and you will seek to further yourself within the company as it grows.

As a General Manager, you will be responsible in handling warehouse distribution, inventory forecasts to ensure sufficient availability of stock. Primarily, you will be overseeing the operations team, managing the ERP in-house system, reporting where areas are exceeding and where there is need for improvements. You will be KPI driven, regulate service satisfaction through SOPs, and oversee day to day picking and packing deadlines.

The best candidate will be capable of putting their best foot forward in resolving any possible delivery disputes within a timely and efficient manner, whilst representing and adhering the company's values and goals. You will also be capable of handling a multitude of tasks, whilst maintaining a positive and responsive image.

Requirements:

Previous warehouse and operations managing experience is a must, to be able to present key team leading skills. You will essentially have FMCG exposure or strong interest in the sector to be successful. Experience operating ERP systems, achieving KPI forecasts, contributing your ideas and making yourself a vibrant member of team is required to be considered. Subsequently, you will be looking to progress your knowledge within this leading chain and work well within a diverse, yet friendly team.
