This global financial services organization has been developing its global procurement function and is in search for its next team member to further support the expansion of the procurement department. As a Procurement Specialist you will be reporting directly into the Head of Procurement and working closely with the Procurement Manager and Analyst across a global indirect procurement spend of over €100M. You role will be focused on delivering value across a number of indirect procurement categories including IT, HR, Travel, Professional Services & more.

As a Procurement Specialist you will have the ability to work quite independently on supplier sourcing and negotiations and to support on global implementation of procurement projects ensuring smooth roll-out across all regions and educating internal stakeholders and business partners on procurement process and policy.

As the Procurement Specialist for Indirect Spend you will be responsible for:-

  • Driving cost optimization and savings delivery across a range of indirect spend categories including IT, Professional Services, HR, Travel and more
  • Analysing, reviewing and reporting procurement spend data to identify potential areas of savings or cost avoidance
  • Reviewing and managing supplier contracts, performance and KPI's
  • Engaging with global management team to deploy procurement strategies and policies
  • Building long-term internal stakeholder relationships for procurement

Key skills required for the Procurement Specialist position:-

  • Proven ability in sourcing suppliers and negotiating tenders for indirect spend categories
  • Highly analytical and adept in MS Excel and other BI Programs
  • Strong communications skills to work effectively with a global stakeholder base
  • Highly ambitious and enthusiastic to fit in as part of a growing global procurement team
  • Educated to BSc level as a minimum and have business fluency in English
