Robertson Bell are exclusively partnering with the Metropolitan Police in the search for a newly created Purchase to Pay (P2P) Functional Lead.

At the Met, things are changing. And it’s all down to an ambitious transformation project that’ll improve the way they work, and the way they police. Responsible for £1.2billion worth of spend, Commercial Services pro-actively manages all the Mets Trading Relationships, providing strategic sourcing advice and support to enable Commands and Business Units maximise value for the taxpayer. Maximising revenue and ensuring value for money from the Met's overall budget is our focus and this drives us to work with the business to define new ways of working that are more efficient, effective and affordable.

Purchase to Pay has been outsourced to Shared Services Connect Ltd (SSCL) who provide a back office transactional service and engine for the purchasing of all the Mets goods and services. Reporting into the Head of Commercial operations and working closely with the Commercial Service Leads, this post is a critical piece in the Mets transformation programme for maintaining in house expertise.

As the P2P Functional Lead you will assume responsibility for leading the overall P2P process and transforming it into a world class function. You will work collaboratively with SSCL to ensure the efficient transacting and processing of business requirements through the full transaction lifecycle; requisition to purchase order to receipting to invoice processing to supplier payments. As the retained business owner, this role will own the end to end processes and ensure SSCL delivers the service in line with agreed parameters.

We are looking for candidates that are experienced in P2P and managing an outsource providers performance to deliver against a long-term service-based contract. You will be able to lead people and change of a similar scale and complexity demonstrating both Project and HR Management skills. Candidates from all sector backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
