Managing Consultant - Procurement
Langley Search & Interim is currently working with a global consulting business to find a Managing Consultant to be responsible for Public Sector client activity.
Reporting to the MD, Europe and as a member of the European Management Team, you will provide account management support managing the delivery of a range of complex projects for large clients to a high standard of delivery. You will also have responsibility for leading, supporting and guiding a team working on the engagements. As well as managing current engagements, a key part of the role will be to create, lead and develop new business, building long-term, profitable client relationships and contribute to the business planning and strategy going forward.
Ideally you will have the following:
- Relevant procurement practitioner experience & network, ideally in the Public Sector. Other sector backgrounds may be considered.
- MCIPS (Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) preferred but not essential
- Degree level calibre
- Proven leadership experience – able to coach and develop others
- A proven ‘role model’ for the team – capable, trustworthy with good judgement
- Experience of leading complex procurement projects including programme management skills
- The ability to influence and grow the business with ‘C’ Level client stakeholders – excellent communication skills
- A natural ‘team player’
Note: This role is London based but there is some flexibility to allow home/flexible working.
