We are currently working with a Private Sector company based in Newcastle who are looking for an Interim Data Warehouse Developer on an interim contract. This role is OUTSIDE IR35 on a maximum day rate of £350 per day. This role is ideal for a candidate with proven experience in the design, development and management of data warehouse and reporting.

Key Tasks & Deliverables:


  • Develop solutions on a Microsoft SQL database platform, utilising both SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • Design and develop ETL routines from various systems and sources
  • Develop and maintain standards of all data warehouse and ETL
  • Monitor ETL server and databases and ensure optimal performance
  • Administer databases and resolve all issues to ensure data accuracy
  • Develop standardised reports and dashboards using PowerBI to proactively promote business intelligence to internal and external userbase
  • Translate user requirements effectively into solutions
  • Develop an extensive and detailed knowledge of our systems and processes
  • Create and maintain documentation of our systems, tools and processes
  • Keep abreast with the latest tools and techniques

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years previous experience in data warehouse design and development
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL database, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and PowerBI
  • Experience of delivering solutions that align with data governance principles for data quality and data security
  • Superior attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to interpret data into influential insights
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet specific deadlines
  • Good communicator and work well with your colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Happy to work collaboratively receiving and giving support and advice
  • An understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement processes would be desirable
