A global Procurement & Supply Chain consulting firm have been significantly developing their European presence, particularly in Ireland, and are looking to hire an experienced supply chain professional to work on-site with one of their pharmaceutical clients in Waterford. As the Site Manager you would be embedded with the organization providing specialist knowledge of purchasing and supply chain and providing oversight to the daily operations of their storerooms. You will provide hands-on support on Inventory Management, Purchasing, Shipping, Demand Planning and other operations related to Indirect production materials.

As an external consultant you will be based full-time at the client site in Waterford working closely with the Operations Director, Manufacturing and Engineering teams and other operational stakeholders providing specialist support wherever necessary.

The Site Manager will need to have a strong background in purchasing & supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, and be able to work cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders.

To apply for the position of Site Manager - Supply Chain & Operations, you must have the following skills:

  • Proven purchasing and supply chain experience from a manufacturing or pharma production environment with experience in handling indirect materials (Capex, MRO, Logistics)
  • Broad supply chain knowledge covering Inventory Management, Stock Control, Demand Planning, Logistics & Shipping and more
  • Excellent communication and internal stakeholder management skills to provide a consultative service to the client
  • Experience in utilising ERP systems such as SAP and managing RFI's, RFP's, & RFQ's
