£35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Set in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Royal Museums Greenwich is home to the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory Greenwich, Queen’s House and the Cutty Sark. Visited by around 2.3 million visitors each year, RMG aims to enrich people’s understanding of the sea, the exploration of space and Britain’s role in world history. This is an inspiring place to work, and we are looking for a talented and highly skilled individual to join our team.
Providing strategic, advisory and managerial leadership, you will be in charge of the procurement activities across all sites, ensuring that RMG delivers better quality and value in all areas of its activity. Ensuring that there is continuous improvement of procurement policy, procedures and technology is also essential to this role.
You will act as our first point of contact on all procurement related issues and serve as contract manager for a range of product and service related contracts. The Museum is keen to have a high quality, inclusive and sustainable procurement function, and you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement training programmes to ensure that all staff are able to play their part in delivering our vision.
You will have a successful background in, and in-depth knowledge of, procurement - ideally gained in the Public Sector with a strong commercial focus - and you will be an excellent natural leader with a proven track record of achieving savings. You will demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the work of Royal Museums Greenwich and we will especially welcome candidates who either hold a professional procurement qualification or who are working towards one.
