We are seeking to engage an experienced and motivated Procurement Officer to join our Procurement team. This team is responsible for facilitating and managing Procurement activity at the City, managing a diverse range of procurement functions and contracts. The Procurement Officer is therefore a busy role requiring the successful candidate to manage a daily workload of multiple tender and contract tasks within defined and often compressed deadlines.
To succeed in this role you must have a thorough understanding of, and experience in government public procurement processes, including the varied range of documentation required, strategies for market approach and use of a Procurement electronic portal. You must also understand the Procurement lifecycle and its impact, including the total cost of ownership.
The recommended candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to understand commercial contracts and contracting principals and must be able to provide sound advice on Contract Management. Effective communication skills are imperative as this role needs a candidate that is to be able to work well with immediate and extended team members and provide multi-faceted stakeholder management.
In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll possess the following skills and/or qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience that would be deemed equivalent
This permanent full time position is a Level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement position, attracts a salary range of $73,483– $77,350 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation and fantastic benefits.
