A Global Leader in their field, consistently recognised for their outstanding performance, this Southampton based organisation seeks a Procurement Manager to take responsibility for various assigned spend categories and lead cross-functional sourcing teams to deliver significant demonstrable cost savings and other efficiencies in conjunction with the Senior Category Manager.

In order to ensure procurement arrangements reflect the strategy, a category managed approach delivering value for money through high quality arrangements is required to be embedded into the organisation. As a senior member of the team you will need a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group - including academic and research staff, heads of the professional services functions and key external suppliers and partners.
The Procurement Service plays an important role in supporting colleagues in procuring a diverse range of goods, services and works which are critical to the successful operation of the organisation.
