We’re – experts in keeping dogs happy and healthy. We do that by creating the perfect recipe for each and every dog, asking owners a few simple questions – and then delivering straight to the door. Our systems formulate and fulfil individually optimised blends of food for each dog, and we automatically evolve that blend over time to match the dog’s ever-changing nutritional needs. Orders are delivered direct to owners' doorsteps every month all across the country; every bag of food that leaves our blending facility is totally unique.


We’re looking for a smart, flexible and number savvy Supply Chain Specialist to join our operations team at Heathrow. Great attention to detail and a flair for creative problem solving are at the heart of what we do as we juggle the opportunities and challenges of running a busy supply chain in an ambitious and rapidly growing company. You’d be joining a small but growing team with a passion for delivering the best possible experience for our customers and changing the world of pet food for good.



  • A permanent role, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager

  • Based at our Heathrow office, with time spent on the factory floor and at supplier sites in the UK and Europe from time to time

  • Delivers projects across systems, planning and logistics to improve efficiency and control

  • Working within cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions to support our international expansion and new product development

  • Responsible for inventory management integrity and tracking of our products, up to arriving with our customer

  • Supporting the materials planning process to guarantee the fulfilment of every customer order

  • Holds internal and external stakeholders to account to make sure they perform to our high standards

  • Ensures financial visibility and control for all stock and service purchases

  • Measures, analyses and improves business processes, in order to support our growth


  • Inventory control - Work closely with manufacturing ops and suppliers to ensure stock control and visibility throughout our supply chain

  • Supplier management - Work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure great quality, cost and service for all purchased items and services

  • Improvement Projects - Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and tools to enable Tails continued growth. Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver


A successful applicant will:

  • Be an academically excellent graduate in an analytical or numerical discipline

  • Have previous experience of supply chain of which some time ideally will have been spent in food manufacturing

  • Have had responsibility for managing expenditure / budgets

  • Have advanced excel skills, and ability to analyse large data sets to create KPIs to drive improvements

  • Have had experience in working cross-functional teams

  • Be able to demonstrate examples of process improvement and delivering financial savings

  • Have excellent communication skills (fluent written and spoken English). You’ll be able demonstrate ability to communicate clearly, concisely and firmly with internal and external stakeholders where appropriate
