Senior Supplier Relationship Management Specialist
The Contract and Supplier Relationship Management Team in Commercial Services is a new function which is designed to drive consistent best practice contract management across the organisation.
You will be aligned to one or more Directorate(s) of the Council, responsible for ensuring that the Strategic and Critical contracts assigned are managed proactively. You will be required to provide professional support and advice ensuring that all commercial issues/contractual changes are negotiated effectively, that the contracts are delivering the specified level of performance and that key risks such as safeguarding and data protection are adequately addressed.
You will need to demonstrate tenacity, drive, commercial acumen and sound negotiation skills. A key requirement will be the identification and delivery of ongoing efficiencies and service improvements in the allocated contract portfolio.
You will also provide support around issues which have been escalated to the Team by contract managers from the allocated Directorate across all contracts across the SCOT (Strategic, Critical, Operational and Transactional) Matrix.
You will have significant experience working in a commercial environment in a large and complex organisation. An ability to confidently provide professional advice to colleagues and partners is essential to the successful delivery of this role.
