Faculty / Directorate
The Finance Directorate is a central support department within the university. We have staff based within faculties & directorates across campus. The Directorate is split into six teams; Finance Central, Financial Planning & Performance, Financial Reporting, Financial Services, Procurement and Taxation.
Having implemented SAP platforms for Finance and Procurement in 2016, and embedded Category Management, the Procurement Team at De Montfort University have confident and ambitious plans for further development.
Our annual procurement spend is over £70 million across a diverse range of services, supplies, and works. The Procurement Manager will lead on procurement reporting, assurance, policy, process and best practice guidance, in addition to any major capital procurement projects. The role will also involve responsibility for Insurance Services supported by a dedicated Insurance Officer, and line management of two Procurement Coordinators.
You will have a confident background in procurement including Purchase-to-Pay and tendering, with strong commercial awareness and evident communication and leadership skills.
