We are expanding our procurement team!!!!!

This is a great time to join our expanding procurement team in a time of innovation and change. We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the development of our supply chain team across the Trust. This is a high profile role and is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient supply of many thousands of products into the hands of our clinical teams across all four sites on a daily basis. As Supply Chain Manager you will be the senior point of contact for significant supply chain issues across the Trust.

A major project is underway to deploy a modern inventory management system across the whole Trust and this is a unique opportunity to work as an integral part of that project and build and shape the supply chain team as we transition to the new system and new approach.

The role will provide high-level expert knowledge of logistics, supply chain and associated technologies to ensure a reliable and efficient service, and to develop innovation and best practice to maximise value from our supply chain.

The team is committed to working constructively and collaboratively with our suppliers in developing value-adding opportunities and harnessing the potential for our supply chain to support the Trust in delivering better care to our patients and in improving operational performance and efficiency.

We are a forward-thinking team and whilst cost reduction activity remains important, our focus is beyond the traditional approaches, and is for the Trust to become the 'partner of choice' for key suppliers across the healthcare sector - a key strategic partner for product/service development, research, innovation and working collaboratively to improve healthcare for patients.

We work closely with our clinical and operational colleagues so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical to success. An important part of your role you will be to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, and in particular the clinical teams delivery care to our patients.

You will understand the critical role of the supply chain in providing care to patients and the importance of the supply chain in supporting our clinical teams.

Your experience of developing and managing complex and critical supply chains either in healthcare or other industries will support the Trust in developing a world-class hospital supply chain.

For a confidential conversation to find out more about our team and this opportunity please contact Jane Edwards on 01865 743123.
