Head of Procurement

Salary from £54,184 to £61,826 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £68,511 pa inclusive of London allowance

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated manager to lead an excellent team of skilled and professional Procurement staff.

As a qualified and experienced purchasing professional with CIPS (Level 6) membership and extensive experience of contract negotiation and staff management, you will be comfortable acting as the School’s authority on procurement. You will have the networking and team building skills and experience to lead and develop sound and ethical procurement practices to ensure the School always secures best value from its suppliers.  Faced with challenges you can demonstrate you are a resourceful and innovative problem solver.

Candidates should have:

  • CIPS Level 6 qualification with extensive post qualification experience
  • Can take responsibility for the operational planning and organisation of large projects or a significant area of work
  • Confidence to constructively challenge goods and service specifications to ensure the School is securing best value
  • Experience of managing staff
