Our client is an incredibly worthwhile charity who have been helping the homeless to get back on their feet for the last 50 years.

This really is a fantastic opportunity to use your Procurement experience to genuinely make a difference.

Their small Procurement Team provides advice, guidance and training on procurement and contract management and collaborates with colleagues across the organisation to directly manage higher value procurement projects. The Team is also involved in various supply chain risk management activities.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of interesting and challenging procurement projects to ensure the charity achieves value for money.

The role will be responsible for managing medium and large procurement projects from end to end. You will also deputise for the Head of Procurement when required.

In order to be considered for the role candidates must:

  • Have completed CIPS Level 4 and be working towards MCIPS
  • Demonstrate experience of high-value competitive tendering and running mini-competitions through Frameworks (or an equivalent purchasing mechanism)
  • Demonstrate experience of running OJEU procurements.
  • Demonstrate experience of contract management.
  • Demonstrate experience of making savings through procurement. 

Candidates will also need excellent communication and influencing skills, the ability to accurately and clearly analyse and present spend data and excellent administration and record keeping skills.

Candidates will need to be comfortable working in a complex organisation and in a procurement environment which is improving but still in development.
