Strategic Procurement Manager will have direct impact on procurement strategy in a company with a group spend of over £100million. You'll predominantly focus on indirect procurement, with sub-categories such as HR, Professional Services, IT and more. What will the role entail?

As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for strategizing, leading on indirect procurement projects that often require innovative minds and problem-solving abilities across categories including FM, HR and Prof Services. You'll have the chance to influence and make your mark on their procurement function, so it's important for our client that the successful candidate keep up to date with market trends, as you'll be delivering market expertise and category knowledge for procurement project, as well as analysing vendor spend in order to make recommendations and changes.

Other responsibilities will include supplier negotiation and management once contracts have been signed, therefore they require someone with a track record of managing and influencing key/senior stakeholders to drive significant value for the company.

Requirements:

  • Experience in procurement/sourcing across a variety of indirect categories - HR, FM, Travel and Events
  • The confidence to manage and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Track record of achieving impressive individual savings, as well as a history of working to tight deadlines and within assigned budgets
  • Degree educated and knowledge of systems such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle etc.
